Preparations for these festivities on Friday 15th October and Saturday 16th October are continuing to take shape.
An enthusiastic group attended the planning meeting last Wednesday, before the P&C meeting.
The general format for the days will be as follows:
Friday the 15th will see a mini fete held at the school. This will include a number of re-enactments of the formation of the Gould League at our school. Around midday a formal ceremony will be held which will hopefully include guests including the Governor of NSW.
On Saturday a range of community events will include history sessions about the Gould League and an environmental expo highlighting how the League led to the formation of many current environmental groups.
In the lead up to the days a number of competitions will be held for students of all ages and the wider community. These details will be available soon. They will include colouring, poetry, writing and photographic competitions.
