Nominations and pre-selections have occurred paving the way for the next process of having nominees giving their candidate campaign speeches. This is a democratic process in action. Congratulations to James O'Brien, Elijah Collis, Patrick Hardwick, Kaine Goodlad, Nicholas Campbell and Kenny Bell who make up the boy's list of candidates and to Lizzy Eather, Harriet Taylor, Heidi Parkes, Laura Kelly, Max-ann Whittaker and Kelly Chown who are the field of Girl candidates.
Speeches will be delivered by our candidates on Thursday, 15thNovember, 2012 in the Gould League Hall, commencing at 12:00 pm. Parents are extended a warm welcome to come along and be part of the audience as each speaker gives their campaign speeches. We wish each candidate the very best and will listen eagerly to their pledges for how they will best serve our school and its constituents. The election will follow the speeches back in classrooms and then the votes will be counted. The outcome of the elections will be made known at our annual presentation day on Tuesday, 11thDecember, 2012 with the naming of the two girls and the two boys who will become our new student leaders for 2013. The formal induction of the new school leaders will be announced early in the new school year.
