In conjunction with world events ,Wellington Public School will be the venue for our own Olympic events this Friday. The whole school will share an early recess from 10:30 am and an early lunch at 12:00pm. At 12:30 students will go to their country (Classrooms) where they will prepare for the opening ceremony. Starting under the big COLA, countries will follow Greece in a magnificent parade of colour to the central grass and then the Olympic torch will enter the arena and all assembled athletes will say the Athletes' Oath. Thirteen events are on the program and a points score will determine which countries will win the gold, silver and bronze medals. It will be exciting!
