The District Swimming Carnival was convened at Dubbo last Thursday evening. This twilight carnival was reminiscent of the carnival held at the same time last year when the weather was not so kind. The carnival went ahead despite the rain and our school swimmers tried hard in their respective events.
We had four girls who swam with times qualifying them to represent their district at the Regional carnival. These girls were Harriet Taylor, Heidi Parkes, Tyra King and Nikkita Poulton-Fluke. Congratulations to each of these girls for their magnificent swims and an extra congratulations to Harriet for she was named the District Carnival's 11Year, Girl Champion. Well done to all swimmers for their school representation and their participation.
