Cronulla Public School Visit

Cronulla Visit

The biannual Cronulla P.S. visit was another great success. Accompanied by two teachers, the School Principal and 47 students visited our School last week as part of their visit to the Central West. Included in their local tour was a visit to a working farm, the Wellington Caves and a night's stay at the Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo. The visit coincided with the SRC's successful socials run for both the junior and senior sections of the School. Our visitors joined in and had lots of fun before settling down to sleep in the Gould League Hall overnight when everyone else had gone home.

So many of our staff gave freely of their time to ensure everything ran smoothly for both the visiting excursion and the socials that it is important to recognise the time and effort given to supporting our students. Thanks to the key organisers and to everyone who supported what was going on. Even at first light on Thursday morning we had our staff in attendance making sure that cereal and a cooked breakfast would be ready to feed our visitors.

Every bit of extra time given by staff is voluntary and I would really like everyone to appreciate how generous many of our staff are in making Wellington P.S. such a terrific, active and engaging learning environment.

Next year senior students will have the chance to travel to Cronulla P.S. where it will be their turn to look after us and give our students the opportunity to experience something of city life and living near the coast.
