Friday last week it rained, so we were lucky to have held our school athletics carnival last Thursday. Although a bit on the cool side the scene was set for a wonderful day and that is what it turned out to be. Our students all had the opportunity to participate in a number of track, field and novelty events. The atmosphere was highly competitive in many of the events yet the carnival had quite a relaxed feel about it. Thanks to the thorough organisation and everyone lending a hand everything ran quite smoothly. Congratulations to everyone who participated and especially to those who did so well in both heats and finals. Apart from one or two students who couldn't manage to follow instructions everyone else was demonstrating excellent behaviour and we were proud of the way the children made this such a terrific Thursday.
Our thanks to everyone who assisted, both prior to, and on this day, it was a great team effort! I must also recognise the tremendous time and effort given by Mrs Eather, Mrs Boland and Mrs O'Brien in organising these carnivals.
