Presentation day allows us to recognise students who have performed well academically, as good citizens, as specially recognised people in their classes, achievers in sporting endeavours and as school leaders.
Congratulations to all who received awards yesterday as individual or teams/groups and to all students who have demonstrated their preparedness to attend school every day and try so hard to achieve their personal best.
Our sincere thanks go to all who were able to share this day with us and give our school their support.
We also say ‘thank you' to our special guests who added importance to this significant occasion and/or to those who offered donations to assist us in celebrating student success.
Towards the conclusion of proceedings we gave our appreciation for our school's student leaders who not only were responsible for the smooth running of the presentations but who have also represented the school so well and so consistently throughout the 2014 school year. Well done Jake, Kiara, Talisa and Tyreek!
Congratulations to our Leaders Elect for 2015, Charlotte Boland, Will Eather, Hannah Petrovic and Cooper Taylor. These children can look forward to their official induction early next year.
At an individual level we must specifically recognise our Sportsperson of the year, Kiara Sullivan and the Dux of the school, Rebecca Dutfield. These are very significant awards and both have been made to very deserving, outstanding students. Again, our heart-felt congratulations! Other major award winners were: AECG Award —Hayley Mohr; Peachey Family Award—Erica Brydon; Natalie Towney Award—Kya May; Home Reading—Will Deshon; Conn Family Award—Lochlan George; Lions Club Award—Josephine Taylor; Runciman Family Award—Ella Gregory; Marg Goninan Memorial Award—Angela Donnelly and Outstanding Effort in Music Award to Ngara Kennedy. Sporting Blues were awarded to Rylee Blackhall, Mason Humphries, Keiran Hart, Mark Stanley, Lewis Stanley, Jordan Blackhall, Will Eather, Justin Hetherington, Justin Walker, Kyle George, Cooper Taylor, Taylor Cubby, Kyla Tasker, Ryan Kong, Patrick O'Donnell and Hannah Petrovic.
Well done to our school band and thank you too for helping us celebrate on this special day. It was terrific knowing that you had this opportunity to share your collective talent with our school community.
