I received a phone call from Mrs Morley on Friday afternoon and was extremely pleased to hear from her that they had had a fantastic time and that this was the best group of children that she had ever taken away.
It's great to hear that children on an excursion, particularly one over 5 days are so well behaved. This certainly boosts teaching staff's enthusiasm to take children away in the future.
Mrs Morley, Mrs Woolstencroft and Mr Johnson did a great job and I personally thank them for their time and commitment. Excursions can only occur if there are staff willing to give up time with their families to take them.
The cost of excursions are increasing and it is important for parents/caregivers to budget in the long term for them, particularly if you have a child in Years 5 and 6.
Plans are underway to organise the excursion for next year and a cost will be made known as soon as possible.
