Teachers in the next two weeks will undertake professional learning in using the DEC professional learning website and the regulations around teacher accreditation, as well as finding out about the National standards for profiling students against the new Literacy and Numeracy continuums. This will allow a new way of measuring student achievement levels and for the setting of outcomes and incremental targets.
It is also busy because the focus is ramping-up for ongoing assessments as a precursor to writing class reports. The executive too, are heads down preparing a major program report, beginning the review of the school management plan, brokering for professional learning support next year, requesting the introduction of new learning programs and planning what classes and staffing might look like for 2013. All of this too, is to be in tandem with our financial means so there is a lot to do.
