We have been advised that, as of week 4 this term, we will have an "Instructional Leader" appointed to our staff under the new "Early Action for Success" strategy. This person's role is yet to be defined clearly to us but primarily it will be their job to plan professional learning, monitor student achievement and assist teachers in the K-2 area of the school. With this comes resource funding, a significant training grant for teachers, and a further intervention support allocation equivalent to an extra one and a half full time teacher position. I believe a briefing begins for these Instructional leaders this week and Principals will join a forum later this month.
Our National Partnership funding concludes at the end of Semester One next year but with our sizeable equity allocations we will continue to be able to offer innovative programs focusing on all students.
