Student reports

Semester 2 Student Reports.

Teachers have completed end of year reports for their students. The reports have been to the Stage Supervisors and now they are with the Principal. All going to plan, parents should receive these reports this Friday.

It is a pleasure reading the hundreds of positive comments attesting to the way the majority of students are working so well in class. Many are obviously improving because of the energy, effort and attention they are applying to their work. Having the right attitude and being positive about themselves, assists children in their learning and in building confidence and in turn this enables them to move from success to success.

Please share these reports with your children and offer praise where praise is due. For students who are not reaching their potential, still share in the positives and encourage and support future endeavours.

Generally speaking, there is obviously a strong correlation where students who attend school without absences achieve better than their counterparts who miss a lot of learning time.  Good attendance is encouraged because it is hard to learn when you don't come to school. The foundations for learning and the connections children need to make are more readily available to them if they are present for every lesson. Mostly attendance is quite good with attendance levels above the minimum requirement of 85%. Sadly some students have attendance levels that are much lower than this. Next year it would be fantastic if parents try to have their children have very few absences in the entire year.
