We have now been successful in brokering for two new literacy programs. One is called "L3" and the other "Focus On Reading". Teachers will begin the intensive Professional development very shortly. All Kindergarten staff, our Instructional Leader and our Literacy / Numeracy Coach are to train in L3 and initially Mrs Eather and Mrs Morley as Stage Leaders, will train in Focus On Reading. Mrs Eather and Mrs Morley will become accredited trainers to train other members of our staff. The professional learning commitment is over two years and will involve a lot of work and professional discussion. We only hope that the Department's realignment does not jeopardise the training support for these programs.
