PreSchool to Kindy Transition

Each year, Wellington Public School runs an engaging and exciting Transition to Kindergarten program. This innovative program runs each Wednesday morning throughout Term 4 from 9am to 11am and is staffed by current and incoming Kindergarten teachers and School Learning Support Officers. This provides an excellent opportunity for our incoming kindergarten to get to know our teachers, staff, school and basic classroom and school routines so that the children are ready for school right from day one.

The program also gives teachers the opportunity to assess children for school readiness and to flag any special programs such as speech pathology or occupational therapy that may need to be in place at the beginning of the school year.
